First Verbal Spontaneous Expression of Affection

A week ago our neighbor and her 4 year old daughter brought by a small plate of homemade cookies right before Joshua's bedtime. He wanted to try each one of them. Judith told him he could as long as he agreed to brush his teeth again afterwards. He complained. Judith said, "All you have to do is say, 'yes'." He said, "Yes," tasted each type of cookie and brushed his teeth. Afterwards, he climbed up on Judith's lap and squirmed and giggled gleefully. He wrapped his arms around her and said, "I wauve oo."
